Customers have voted with their phones to make Vodafone one of the world's top wireless phone carriers. The company's phone book is stuffed with more than 470 million customers in nearly 30 countries, and it has partnerships with other mobile networks in another 50. In terms of subscribers, Vodafone trails only China Mobile. As well as telephony, it has 14 million fixed broadband customers, and 9.8 million TV customers. The company does around 70% of its business in Europe, where it is a leader in the wireless markets in the UK and Germany. Vodafone increasingly serves callers in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia through subsidiaries and joint ventures.
